VIP//IT Solutions - New Bristol Dental Practice

With the redevelopment and subsequent compulsory purchase of the Broadmead Dental Practice building, the practice had to up sticks and move. A new premises at No.1 Queen Square was chosen and work began on renovating and converting this fabulous property into dental surgeries.

From an early point in the process VIP//IT was called in to advise on the network cabling of the new building, and as work drew to a close we began our on site work installing all new hardware into the practice.

A new IBM xSeries server and A series Desktops have been employed, along with Gigabit switches, additional network storage devices and a new back-up method replacing the old tape drives.

The Exact practice management suite from Software of Excellence was installed and updated before the datafiles were migrated across from the old server.

With building work over-running and the opening date closing in, VIP//IT worked round the clock to ensure the practice systems were tested and ready to go on day one.
